Developers

With the Passivhaus concept forming the basis of the Code for Sustainable Homes (the UK's national standard for sustainable design and construction of new homes) the building industry has a viable alternative to traditional building methods and products, that offers greater design flexibility alongside the immediate reality of exceptional savings on both heating and cooling of the building.

Simple Structure and Low Skills required

  • Flexible design & construction
  • High quality build
  • Reduced cost & time to build
  • Improved energy efficiency
  • Reduced fuel bills
  • Reduced carbon emissions
  • Reduced noise migration
  • Easy access to materials via established supply chain
  • Full testing certification for each build
  • LABC registered approval/NHBC certified

Speed

  • 3 Bed House (82m²) weather tight in under 15 days, using 2 semi-skilled personnel

Quality, Inspection and Testing of every property

  • All structural joints open to inspection
  • Only one inspection to see all structural joints and fixing on completion of structural build
  • Will not pass independent thermal, air tightness and sound tests unless properly constructed and insulated
  • Building control officers  study 3D drawings before arrival on site, thus speeding up the time and frequency of visits

Beattie Passive adds value at each build stage:
