Homes UK – our commitment to Net Zero
At Beattie Passive, we’ve been pioneering Passivhaus in the UK for over a decade. It is the gold standard of energy efficient design and minimises operational carbon. What’s more, according to the Passivhaus Trust, the adoption of Passivhaus has been found to encourage optimisation of embodied carbon through efficient use of materials and radically reducing the heating and cooling plant.
Simply put, Passivhaus buildings are already primed for net zero. By definition, a net zero building produces as much energy from renewable sources as it consumes. It stands to reason then, that it’s much easier to achieve net zero if a building has been optimised for energy efficiency.
