We’re excited to be part of Homes UK later this month. Attending the show gives us the opportunity to promote Passivhaus as a solution to many of the challenges that continue to plague our industry.
The housing crisis and the climate emergency are without doubt two of the biggest challenges facing the housing sector. Passivhaus provides a simple and clear route to net zero. In light of recent reports, it is clear that now is the time to act on climate change. Come and join us at Homes UK and Net Zero Live to learn about Passivhaus and chat to our team. We’ll be talking about some of the Net Zero projects we’ve already delivered for Local Councils and Housing Associations across the UK.
In related news, our Commercial Operations Manager, Nathan Beattie, is shortlisted for the Unlock Net Zero Climate Champions Powerlist. Nathan has been recognised for his work on our Passivhaus Plus scheme for Cardiff Council. You can find out more about that scheme here.
Homes UK – our commitment to Net Zero
At Beattie Passive, we’ve been pioneering Passivhaus in the UK for over a decade. It is the gold standard of energy efficient design and minimises operational carbon. What’s more, according to the Passivhaus Trust, the adoption of Passivhaus has been found to encourage optimisation of embodied carbon through efficient use of materials and radically reducing the heating and cooling plant.
Simply put, Passivhaus buildings are already primed for net zero. By definition, a net zero building produces as much energy from renewable sources as it consumes. It stands to reason then, that it’s much easier to achieve net zero if a building has been optimised for energy efficiency.
Come and talk to us at the show about your temporary and permanent housing needs. We’ll help you achieve your net zero aspirations!
