Our Director, Rosemary Beattie met with Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, at the Caister on Sea site. Joined by Cllr Trevor Wainwright, the borough council’s leader, Cllr Penny Linden, the Cabinet Member for Communities, Brandon Lewis, Great Yarmouth MP and Mike Britch from Beattie Passive Norse.
With the Government set to deliver 170,000 social houses across the UK. Mr Pickles was very interested in the patented construction method. And how it delivers energy efficient affordable homes using local labour and materials whilst raising building standards. He also met two students from Great Yarmouth College. Who helped build the timber frames in the college and now work on-site two days a week.
